He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Cosgriff and Lillian Eklund Cosgriff; his son Martin James Cosgriff; and his siblings, Gerald, John, Bill, Douglas and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Culver Obermayer; his daughter Trish Bundrock (Dan); his stepdaughter Monica Cratty; and his niece Tina Brown.
