He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Detjens; his parents, Ray Pival and Edith Pival; his sisters, Mary and Norma; and his parents-in-law, Pete and Bean Detjens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terri Comer (Charlie), Paula Pival (Bill), Barbara Anderson (David) and Peggy Michels (Aaron); his close friend Janice Thomas; his siblings, Mona Drake, Nadine Pival, Nancy Heyne and Bob; his grandchildren, Kaide Dodson (Brad), Brian (Allye), Eric Anderson, Steven (Amanda) and Lynnette Michels; and his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Zane, Justin, Collin, Colton and Bella.
