He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, Clay and Leona; his brother David; his brother-in-law Lloyd Brickey; his mother-in-law Marie Lou Ward; and his sibling Bub.
He is survived by: his children, Sheri Edwards of Libby, Dawn Braaten (Kerry) of Plains, Michele Benefield-Kessel of Libby, Scott Benefield (Kim) of Cheney, WA and Donald Benefield (Muha) of Libby; and his sisters-in-law, Helen Brickey and Gayla Benefield. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
