He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Doney and Florence Doney; his siblings, Doug "Digger" Doney, Wayne Doney, Deanna Ulrich and Myra Doney; his son Kenneth Doney Jr.; and his grandchildren, Little Wolf Main, Roshell Martin, Casey Martin, Kenneth Doney III, Hunter Straight and Devin Main.
He is survived by: his close friend Marjorie Miller; his children, Nona Longknife of Harlem, Petrina Ariwite (Reno S.) of Hays, Sheila Martin (Gerald) of Hays, Lana Longknife of Harlem, Bonita Leady (Cole) of London Mills and David (Tony) of Denver; his brother-in-law Davy Belgard; his adoptive son Jay Longknife; and his granddaughter Lacy Horn. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
