He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Murphy and Mercy Murphy. He is survived by : his children, Scott Murphy, Kelly Murphy, Teresa Murphy-Ashworth (Tom) and Kerry Murphy; and his grandchildren, Zach Murphy, Aaron Murphy (Sharon), Kayla Murphy (Sean), Kate Ashworth and Rebecca Ashworth.

A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Winifred Community Center (210 Main St, Winifred, MT 59489). The military honors was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Winifred Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Winifred Endowment or the Winifred American Legion Post #120.
