He was predeceased by: his parents, David Eugene Carter and S. Addie Carter. He is survived by: his spouse Gayle Emerson; his daughter Nicole Berns; his granddaughter Elizabeth Berns of Billings, MT; and his brother Lonzo Carter (Loretta) of Helena, MT. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
