She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Lamar "Duffy" and Mary Josephine Nielsen. She is survived by: her husband James Michael Shaffer; her children, Shelly Lambrecht (Kurt), Jamie Germaine (Bruce), Lisa Purdy (Briar), Tara Douglas, Jessica Elliott (Derek), Samantha Watson (Leland) and Noah (Lindsay); and her siblings, Jacque Long and Delbert Nielsen. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
