She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Burgin and Olive Burgin. She is survived by: her spouse Chuck McAlpine; her children, Teri Kay Whitesitt (Dave) of Three Forks and James Cole McAlpine of Kalispell; her grandchildren, John Collin Whitesitt, Sydney Kay Whitesitt, Olivia Ryanne Whitesitt, Asher Alan McAlpine and Matthieu James McAlpine; and her siblings, Nancy Hagen, Patrick Burgin and Kathy Perrine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montana Women Against Breast Cancer.
