He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted and Mary; his wife Pat; his siblings, Ray Barten, Ole Barten, Ted Barten, Chuck Barten, Ida Turner, Charlene Barten and Gerry Barten; and his grandson Tony Redmond.
He is survived by: his grandson Logan; and his children, Dawn Redmond (Mike) of Ray, Joy Barten of Shelby, Dave Barten (Alice) of Kalispell and Dean Barten (Donna) of Huntsville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
