He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Peiffer; his nephew Scott Peiffer; and his parents, Lorretta Peiffer and Albert Peiffer. He is survived by: his siblings, Gary Peiffer and Carly Barta; his children, Bill (Val Peiffer), Pam (Duane Wendt), Ken (Rita Peiffer) and Dale (Marlyn); his daughter-in-law Judy Peiffer; and his grandchildren, Sara, Amanda, Nathaniel, Heather, Kali, Kimberly, Dusty, Nicole, Ashley, Philip and Matthias. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
