She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McGihon and Marjorie Lilja Desch; her stepfather Melvin Desch; and her sister Elizabeth Ann McGihon. She is survived by: her brothers, Ron McGihon (Norma) of Chantilly, VA and Robert Desch (Michelle) of Bigfork; her niece Shaele Culbreath of Charlottesville, VA; and her nephew Scott McGihon of Abbotsford, BC.
The family is planning a future private virtual memorial service to eliminate travel during the COVID pandemic and allowing participation by the family members and Karen's care givers who are located from the East Coast to the West Coast and Canada.
