James was predeceased by: parents, Joe and Ann Tomayer of Kaylene's Max; brother-in-law Larry Moye; and also, Sharon Jensen, Vicki Driscoll and David Fenwick.

James is survived by: daughters, Monica Tomayer of Conrad and Valerie; son-in-law Jeremy Ashby of Kalispell; granddaughters, Violet and Lavender; brothers, Nick Tomayer (Rose), Ken Tomayer (Fay) and Jerry Tomayer (Debby); brother-in-law Dale Driscoll; and also, Pat Moye and Barb Fenwick. James is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
