He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Gookin and Ethel Kimball Gookin; his wife Lois Giles; his brother Roy; and his stepson Mark Irion.
He is survived by: his children, Marc (Lorie) of Hillsboro, OR, Matt (Dyan) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Dan (Sharron) of Vancouver, WA and Dalene Cornielia (Larry) of Billings, MT.; and his stepchildren, Dennis Irion (Charlene) of North Carolina and Carrie Reichert (Tim). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
