She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. McElvain and Alice McElvain (Jones); her husband Sam; her siblings, Robert J. "Bud" McElvain Jr. and Sharon Robinson; her son Terry Lee Mercer; and her great grandchild Emily Martin.
She is survived by: her sister Maxine O'Brien (Kenneth) of Kalispell; her son Gary R Mercer (Barb) of Shelby; her granddaughter Colleen Mercer; and her great grandchild Daytona Martin. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
