He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril M. Knapp and Rose Knapp (Martinec); his wife Maralyn Knapp; and his siblings, Stanley, Steve, Agnes Ricks and Betty Maris.
He is survived by: his children, Carlene Dagel (Edward) of Hilger, MT and Jerry Dean Knapp of Edmonds, WA; his grandchildren, Edward Dagel Jr. (Brenda) of Kaiserslautern, Germany and Connie Zarn (Eric) of Bigfork, MT; his great grandchildren, Kael, Layla Dagel, Devlin and Alaura Zarn; and his siblings, Albert Knapp, Frank Knapp, Alice Robinson and Jean Vogl.
Memorial donations are requested to the Montana Fly Wheelers, Montana Hope Project, Hilger Fire Department or to the Montana Department of Fish and Game.
