He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Wise and Chalmers Wise; and his sister Charleen Erickson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Wise of Helena; and his children, Sharon Maynard (Robert), Carole Wise, Bill Wise and Doug Wise (Elizabeth). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
