He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Arthur Umscheid and Harriet Lucille Fagan; his brother Darrell; and his brothers-in-law, Robert and James.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hutchison; his siblings, Phyllis of Nebraska, Tom (Sharon) of Wyoming, Carol of Colorado, Jon (Patti) of Utah and Patrick "Mick" (Eileen) of South Dakota; and his stepdaughters, Jennifer Hirtzel and Stephanie Hess.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home (3750 N Montana Ave, Helena, MT 59602). The military honors was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Montana State Veteran Cemetery (3550 Heroes Rd, FORT HARRISON, MT 59636).
