He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Blackcrow Sr. and Rosie Shortman Blackcrow; his grandparents, Molly and Luke Shortman; his sons, Quentin Joseph Blackcrow and Joseph L Blackcrow III; and his brothers, Edwin "Wimpy" Shortman, Mark "Higgins" Blackcrow and Aloysius "Punny" Blackcrow.
He is survived by: his grandson Sterling Whitecow; his sisters, Eileen Bradley, Mary "Cuddy" Bigby, Lois "Bussettes" Falcon, Nora "Eagle" Blackcrow and Phyllis Shortman Moss; his friends, Leon "Duke" King, Mike Brockie, Frank McConnell and George; his wife Mary Agnes Blackcrow; his children, Ang Blackcrow, Faye Blackcrow, Gerard Blackcrow and Nathan Perry; his adoptive daughter Ashley; and his siblings, Gloria "Ouzie" Blackcrow, Phillip "Buzz" Blackcrow and George "Zot" Blackcrow.
