He is survived by: his adoptive son Robert Oats of Rocky Boy; his grandchildren, Jaymin Oats (Ruth Medicine Crow) of Rocky Boy, Kaylynn Oats of Rocky Boy, Jazmin Starr Longfox of Rocky Boy, Destiny Bauer, John Oats of Havre and Alicia Oats of Rocky Boy; and his siblings, Pete LaMere (Leah) of Rocky Boy, Theda Morsette (Rick) of Rocky Boy, Joey LaMere of Rocky Boy, Sigmund Sutherland of Albequerque, Susie LaMere of Rocky Boy, Gabe LaMere (Patrick) of Seattle, Winona of Rocky Boy and Chris LaMere of Rocky Boy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
