He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gould and Helen Gould (Peterson); his wife Peggy Jo; and his siblings, Chuck, Benton, Floyd, Irene, Carol, Yvonne and Mary.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joni Schubert (Bob) of Havre and Linda Leeds (Bruce) of Havre; and his granddaughter Kaylee Shirtliff (Brandon). He is also survived by great-grandsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Roland's family has suggested memorial donations be made in his memory to First Lutheran Church, the Care and Comfort Home, and Friends of Beaver Creek Park.
