He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Jacob Mayer, Sr. and Josephine Katherine Mayer (Emily); his siblings, Frank, Patrick, Ellen, Stubban, Elizabeth "Betty Jo" Strissel, Ramona "Mona K" Irvin and Patricia Smith; his sister-in-law Benita Mayer (Thompson); and his daughter-in-law Sylvia McQuade.
He is survived by: his wife Darleen O'Donnell; his children, Emily Ann Mayer, Donald Patrick Mayer of Havre, Roy Joseph "Pudge" Mayer of Havre, Sampson "Sam" Frank David Mayer of Great Falls, Montana, Robert McQuade (Erin) and James McQuade (Claudia) of California; his grandchildren, Mason Mayer, Lilian Mayer, Colin McQuade, Kate McQuade, Joshua McQuade and Faith McQuade; his brother David Mayer (Kay) of Havre; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Mayer of Havre and Dwayne Irvin of Shelby, Montana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
