He was predeceased by: his parents, Satoru "Lefty" Sasaki and Emi Sasaki Colier. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Hoover; his children, Emi Smith (Tyler), Laura Sasaki, Kelli Cox (Nate), Lawrence Sasaki (Tiffany), Matthew Sasaki (Cindy) and Kevin Hoover (Joelee); his sisters, Patsy Divish (Ed), Jean Winchell (Mike) and Margie Thompson (Ron); and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Divish, Marcie Kessel (Justin), Jessy Schroeder (John), Michael Winchell, Brandy Winchell, Bill Thompson (Laura) and Jim Thompson (Crystal). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several great nieces and nephews.
