He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Bernard and Rose Bernard (Morsette); his sons, Thomas Bernard and Elias Bacon; his grandson Tyler Big Bow; his daughter Cheyenne Bernard; and his brother Tommy Lee Bernard.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Bernard, Joseph Bernard, Albert Bernard, Elliot Bacon, Robert Big Bow, Christopher Bernard, Mike Jackson, Isiah Morsette, Loren Bacon, Carol Ann Bernard, Renee Rock and Billie Jo Favel; his godson Trent Blatt; and his siblings, Margaret Bernard, Brenda Bernard, Christine Blatt, Kimberly Patacsil, Violet Dawn Sun Child, Melody Bernard, Darrell Sun Child, Dallas Sun Child (Pam) and Darin Sun Child (Marva). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
