James E. Welter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2022, at the age of 89, James E. Welter of Havre, Montana, born in Plentywood, Montana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Welter and Lenore Welter (Reiger); his son William "Butch" Welter; and his brothers, Jack and Roy Welter.

He is survived by: his wife Delores Welter of Havre; his children, Teresa Keeley (John) of Havre and Byron Welter (Robyn) of Havre; his daughter-in-law Lori Welter of Great Falls; his grandchildren, Carrie Brun (Clay), Matt Heydon, Alexis Barnes (Joel), Tristan Welter (Nicole), Preston Welter, Skylar Welter and Savannah Schafer (Troy); his great grandchildren, Tyler Ramirez, Alyssea Ramirez (Trevor Herman), Hailey Heydon, Ali Barnes, Leah Moreni, Stella and Carson Schafer; his great great grandchild Weston Herman; his siblings, Jay Welter of Plentywood, Joyce Degasis of Phoenix and Jean Frigstad of Minnesota; and his aunt Vera McCoy. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jim's family has suggested memorial donations be made in his memory to the Friends of Beaver Creek Park or the charity of the donor's choice.
