He was predeceased by: his parents, Adriaan Handstede and Joanna Handstede (Sleegers); and his sisters-in-law, Terry Lee Brawn (Ron) and Merylin Davies (Gilbert). He is survived by: his wife Judy Hinds of Havre; his daughters, Riki-Lynn Ross (Joe) of Havre, Paula Handstede (Craig Korb) of Havre and Jo-Ann Henry (Joe) of Maple Valley, WA; and his sisters, Marjan Perry (Dave), Jeannette Helfrich (Art) and Michele Handstede. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Herman's family has suggested memorial donations be made in his memory to St. Jude School Trust Fund, Eagle Creek Ski Patrol, Gr. Falls Benefis- Gift of Life Housing, or the charity of one's choosing.
