She was predeceased by: her father Robert Walen; and her grandparents, Grace Peeler and Clarke Peeler. She is survived by: her uncle Richard Peeler; her husband Carl Nelson; her daughter Cheryl; her family, Beaver Creek Park, Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks; her mother Theresa Peeler (Peeler); her children, Clarke and Rachel Nelson; and also Carl Nelson of Spokane, WA.
Cheryl's family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the Montana. Special Olympics, Mclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center, or the charity of the donor's choice.
