He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Nicol and Arlene Nicol; his wife Debra Chambers of Hamilton; his children, Adam Chambers, Jennifer Jessop (Devonn), Eric (Rikki), Mike Nicol (Linda) and Amanda Oliver; and his sisters, Jan Cogburn and Kim Zacha. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the family for a bench to be placed at his gravesite.
