“Chet and I became friends at BYU after I joined the Church. In the summer of 1968, Chet invited me to come and stay with him and his family in California so that we could both work and save money for our missions. I will always be grateful for this life-changing experience as I watched Chet's family treat each other with patience, respect, humor, and love. I decided then that I wanted to create a family just like the Nelsons. And I did. I love you, Chet.”
