He was predeceased by: his daughter Linda Dye-Howe; his granddaughter Tara Rae Bryant; his parents, Archie Dye and Esther Dye; his siblings, Jerry Dye, Ted Dye and Betty Jean Stahl (Dye); and his brothers-in-law, Daryl Stahl and Phil Pohlman.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Dye; his daughter Jolie Wells (Don Wells); his granddaughter Jessica (Gary Gillette); his great grandchildren, Willo and Tyler; his daughter Bobbi Dye; and his grandchild Cameron Taylor-Dye. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
