He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hap and Florence; his sister Mary (Harry Guetherman); his sister-in-law Carole Filler; and also Harry.

Then in January 2016, due to Alzheimer's disease, he moved to Benefis Memory Care where he passed away peacefully on March 11.
