He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stone Paulson Sr. and Mary Louise Gustafson; his close friend Renman; his wife Bessie Paulson; his daughters, Kelley Stone and Erin Paulson; his grandchildren, Nathan Stone, Hillary Gallant and Elizabeth Stone; and his caregiver Cindy Rapstad. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
