He is survived by: his son Nick (Annie); his grandchildren, Mason, Gavin, Regan and Alanna Hiett; his great grandchild Paul; his brother Cliff (Elizabeth); and his nieces and nephews, Maurice Reichelt, Marti Olson (Luke) and Mandi Mercier (Aaron).

“Ron's passion and dedication to both baseball and softball was truly an inspiration to me. I played softball with Ron for a great number of years and really enjoyed his enthusiasm for the game. He served as my personal coach on the field giving me tips on how to improve. We made great memories together attending the Huntsman Senior Games in St. George Ut. Even with his health decling, he still had hope of attending the games. I have missed his presence as he was a good friend.”
