She was predeceased by: her parents, Marian Sletten May and Robert C. Gunness; her spouse MSgt Landon F. Smith Jr.; her stepfather Edward May; her brother John; and her mother-in-law Thelma E Smith.
She is survived by: her son Landon F. Smith III (Dina); her siblings, Dave Gunness (Becky) and Anna Carter (Glenn); her daughter Dawn Marie O'Meara; her granddaughter Madi Smith; and her son-in-law Luke. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
