She is survived by: her former husband Les Slater; her spouse Nels Nilsen; her children, Elaine Wood, Travis Smith, Darci Amato (Kelly), Oliver, Earl (Maureen), Jason, Kevin (Amy), Randy (Brook), Krystal, Jannette Brekke (Steve) and Katherine Wertz (Chase); her great grandchildren, Alysha, Ruthie, Aiden, Nellie, Emma, Jonathon and Kailyn Nilsen; and her great great grandchildren, McComber of Tennessee and Layla Haroldson.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Missouri River Horsemen in care of Earl Nilsen.
