He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hewitt and Ann E. Hewitt; his brother John Hewitt; and his son Bernie Hewitt. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Carly Hewitt, Morgen and Braelyn; his wife Artie Hewitt; his daughter Anna Hewitt; and his brother Jim Hewitt (Cookie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
