He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosella McQuire and Joe McQuire; and his siblings, Frank, Joe McQuire and Patricia McQuire.
He is survived by: his son Sam (Connie) of Ballantine; his grandchildren, Brieanna Wrenn (Chris) of Cameron, NC, Brandon Wallace of Ballantine and Sydney Williams of Ballantine; his great grandchildren, Wesley, Braxton, Wyatt, Cash and Sayla; his adoptive daughter Elizabeth Kippenhan; and his brother Harold Neil Andersen.
