He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Gillispie of Havre; his children, Patricia Treybal (Russell) of Thornton, CO, Mary Ann Rohner (Gary) of Spokane, WA, Juanita Sanborn (Darrell) of Havre, John Gillispie, Jr. (Karen Glasgow) of Hamilton, Peggy Gillispie of Seattle, WA, Sherry Brewster (Bob) of Kremlin, Ginger McIntosh (Mike) of Ellensburg, WA and Garret Gillispie (Kami) of Bozeman; and his grandchildren, Mark, Kimberly Treybal, Alanna Mayo, Ryan Rohner, Elizabeth Krivitz, Patrick Swanson, Krissy Gillispie, John Lee Gillispie, Kari Hahn, Kylie Lindeman, Diamond Gillispie, Tim Gillispie, Nancy Poss, Kyle, Kathe Schmaing, Tyler, Timothy Yuhas, David, Amber McIntosh, Dillon and Skylar Gillispie. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place, and private family funeral services will be held due to the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Friends of the Havre Animal Shelter, for he loved his fur babies.
