With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys L. Cantrell (Great Falls, Montana), born in Wolf Point, Montana, who passed away on March 1, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard H. Poil and Bernice Hutchinson; her close friend James Welch, Sr.; her adoptive children, Victoria Poil Jackson and Michael Desjarlais; her husband John Cantrell; her brother Monty Poil; her children, Michael Desjarlais and Victoria Poil Jackson; and her siblings, Charles, Loren, Harold Poil and Donna Poil Bossard.
She is survived by: her former husband Eugene Desjarlais; her adoptive children, Kathryn McLaughlin (Gary) of Great Falls, MT and Dennis Desjarlais of Kalispell, MT; her sisters, Karen Spry (Charles) of Ulm, MT and Bonnie Egan (Fred) of Billings, MT.; and her grandchildren, Tani Hall (Chris), John Mclaughlin, Kelly Soria (Seth), Monty Mclaughlin, Michael Mclaughlin, Stephanie Orfe, Sancha Valenzuela (Bo), Nicole Sangret, Roger Cantrell, Jared Peavey, Samantha Woltering, Chad Jackson, Tyler Lamere, Courtney YellowOwl (Josh), Stephanie Kennedy, Joe Desjarlais, Jerry Sirchio, Nida Parker, Bernadine Wolfchild, Mary Small, Henry Wolfchild Jr., Thomas Wolfchild, Timothy Wolfchild, Cicero Running Crane (Katherine), Jaeger Valandra and Daunte Valandra. She is also survived by Mom adopted and welcomed many children into her home including many nieces and nephews.
