He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Schwantes and Peggy Schwantes; his brother Raymond; and his father-in-law Donnie Wirtala. He is survived by: his wife Lori Wirtala; his daughters, Erin Hicks (Jeremiah) and Meghan Grady (Steve); his grandchildren, Garrett, Miah Hicks, Gannon and Grant Grady; his brother Rod Schwantes (Kristy); his sister-in-law Lorena Schwantes; his mother-in-law Lois Wirtala; and his siblings-in-law, Shelley Kolar (Joe), Debbie Visocan (Mark) and Allen Wirtala (Lyndie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
