He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Nester and Hattie Nester (Mahaffey); his wife Josephine; and his children, Sharon Baughman and Billy Gregory.

He is survived by: his son Tommy Gregory. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
