He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Richard Heydon and Patrica Ann Stoner; and his pet Walker. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ayers Mertz; his children, Carrie Brun (Clay) of Big Timber, David Mathew "Matt" Heydon of Havre, Becky Zeledon (Ed) of Great Falls and Jon Mertz of Vaughn; his grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssea Ramirez, Hailey Heydon, Lydia Zeledon and Bryliy Mertz; and his siblings, Tom Heydon (Mimi) of Fort Benton, Lyla Jensen (Bob) of Phoenix, AZ and Ann Murrah (Joe) of Loxley, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
