He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Claybrooks and Addie Mary Claybrooks (Murray); his former wife Pauletta Fries Claybrooks; and his son Matthew James Fries. He is survived by: his wife Paula; his daughter Marsha Lee Ann Fries; his siblings, Travis, Walter, James Robert, Judy Pearl and Helen; and his grandchildren, Adyn David Matthew Leigh and Alizae Mileek Fries.
A private service will take place in July, due to Covid-19.
