He was predeceased by: his parents, Theresa M. Young and Paul Smith; his daughter Jana; and his siblings, Walter, Ronald Redfield and Mignon Waterman.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, John Young of Olympia, WA, Jolene Young of Billings and Kenna Gordon (Jeremy) of Puyallup, WA; his stepchildren, Lawrence Desmond, Lauren Attanasio (Joe) and Joyce Desmond; his sister Pearl Scott of Billings; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Redfield of Lewistown and Ron Waterman of Helena. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in Darrell's name.
