He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Cora Brown (Johnstone); his wife Gladys; and his daughter Arlene Marie Brown Naillon. He is survived by: his son David; and his grandsons, Darrel, Jason and Travis Naillon. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
