He is survived by: his daughter Leslie Ann Thomas (Trace) of Fort Shaw; his brother Wesley "Buddy" Townsend (Ellen) of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Alyshia Mury (Colton), Tori, Timer and Taya Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Keelyn Townsend and Nevada Mury.
