He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlan Patterson and Virginia Patterson; his wife Sandy; and his grandson Scottie Mueller of Wyoming. He is survived by: his sisters, Arla Culver (Kerry) of Kalispell, Montana., Cathy Siderius (Ken) of Kalispell, Montana. and Julie Taylor of Kalispell, Montana.; his children, Todd Patterson, Scott Mueller, Jason Mueller (Judy) and Christina Simon (Rob) of Dickinson, ND.; his sister Gandy Dancer Pepper; and his grandchildren, Kimberleigh, Paisleigh, Maisie, Randy Mueller of Wyoming, Megan Adair (Kayd) and Brayden Simon of North Dakota.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steve's name to the Home on the Range youth home.
