He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Patterson and Beulah Patterson (Ingraham); his daughter Nila Oellermann; and his siblings, Lois Cadwell, Ellen Russell, Joyce Colbrese, Sharon Colerick, George Patterson, James Patterson and Myron Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Barthel of Glendive; his daughter Linda Deines (Gary) of Glendive, Montana; and his sisters, Anna Jones of Belgrade, Velma Kinsey of Glendive and Patricia Stephens of Hayden Lake, Idaho. He is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
