He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal "Gaylord" Oakland and Evelyn Oakland (Peterson); and his daughter-in-law Cherie Oakland. He is survived by: his wife Cammy Sue Oakland; his sons, Brent Oakland of Glendive and Ross Oakland (Tara) of Glendive; his stepchildren, Nikki Wick (Doug) of Sidney and Judd Smith of Fairview, Montana; his sister Carol Larkie of El Cajon; and his niece Joy. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Neil's name are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church Loaves and Fishes, the Dawson County Food Bank, or the Glendive Community Cancer Fund.
