He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Koppinger and Theresa Koppinger (Knaup); his brothers, Richard, John, Robert and Jerry Koppinger; his granddaughter Melissa Buchholz; and his children-in-law, Danny Warner and Kathy Koppinger.

He is survived by: his wife Bea Koppinger of Glendive; his children, Lana Warner of Glendive, Scott Koppinger of Glendive, Therese Dibbert (Butch) of Sunnyside and Marc Koppinger (Patricia) of Kissimmee, Florida; his grandchildren, Jesse Buchholz (Kristen), Alisha Miner, Amy Koppinger, Nicole Sharbono (Brad), Kaitlin Deardorf, Ruby Koppinger and Sophia Koppinger; and his sister Rosemary Reisinger of Dickinson. He is also survived by Julia Pastor; thirteen great grandchildren.
