It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Basta of Glendive, Montana, born in Richey, Montana, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Mickelson and Sylvia Mickelson (Murray); her husband Denny (Denny); her brothers, Lewis and Fred; and her brothers-in-law, Don, Dan and Tom.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Basta (D'Ann) of Glendive, Montana, Alan Basta (Liu) of Austin, Texas, Shannon May of Glendive, Montana, Ray Basta (Kris) of Glendive, Montana, Jean Basta (Jim Temple) of Cheyenne, Joel Basta (Jamie) of Glendive and Cole Basta (Shelly) of Michigan City, Indiana; and her siblings-in-law, Dave Basta (Fran), Marie Basta, Mable Basta and Bonnie Basta. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins.
